Some sample responsibilities of FEAT members include: solicit feedback from other parents in the 社区, participate in efforts to promote a welcoming environment in all 学校, increase engagement with all students 和家庭 equitably.

威尼斯官网在线 is committed to improving students’ school experience 和 academic success 和 ensuring equitable learning opportunities by engaging 家庭 in decision-making 和 program review. The FEAT provides opportunities for 威尼斯官网在线家庭 to learn about 和 provide input 和 feedback on the district’s programs 和 initiatives, 确保家庭关系的包容性, 个性化的, 整合和影响(来自国家PTA“四个是”框架 for Transformative Family Engagement); 和 create uniform expectations 和 best practices for individual 学校和 districtwide decision making.

Provide input 和 feedback to 威尼斯官网在线 Central Office staff, 学校工作人员和项目工作小组, 活动, 服务, 资源, 和材料, 包括与家人的沟通, 及家长学院;
Solicit feedback from other parents in the 社区;
Participate in efforts to promote a welcoming environment in all 学校;
Assist staff with training to strengthen family advocacy skills;
Develop a plan for collaborative learning opportunities for school administrators 和 teachers to equitably engage with all students 和家庭.

The FEAT is composed of no more than 15 parent/guardians, including individuals 和社区 stakeholders, 学校行政人员, 一个老师, a Parent-Community Coordinator (PCC) 和 a member of Student 和 Family Support 和 Engagement. Note: the term “parent” refers to the parent or legal guardian of a child enrolled in a 威尼斯官网在线. The FEAT meets at least seven times during the school year 和 members serve a two-year term.

We work to ensure 家庭 have the tools 和 opportunities to be active 和 effective partners in their children's school experience; 和 support 学校和社区 partners in building family-school partnerships to support learning opportunities in the classroom, 社区, 在家里.
